Arsenal target’s club ready to receive offers for German playmaker

Arsenal’s long rumoured pursuit of Julian Draxler has become more feasible than ever before after the German playmaker’s dispute with his own club reached new levels.

Wolfsburg’s director of football Klaus Allofs has admitted that his side will listen to offers for Julian Draxler after dropping him from the match day squad for the 5-0 defeat at Bayern Munich.

The 23 year old has repeatedly complained about wishing he had been allowed to leave in the summer, and the turmoil that his behaviour is causing has disrupted his team’s season too. The Wolves now lie just one point above the relegation zone.

“If we are to receive an offer then we will consider it and see whether we react to it.” Allofs is quoted as saying by ESPN.

With Arsenal’s two key attacking players Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez both reaching the ends of their deals next summer, alarm bells are clearly ringing at the Emirates over how to keep hold of them. If they are truly worried about losing one or both of those two, Draxler’s arrival would certainly keep a lot of fans happy.
