Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho could be set to splash the cash in order to strengthen his side in preparation for next season.
The Special One’s side have fallen short this campaign, and currently sit in fifth position in the Premier League. It’s not good enough for a side of United’s stature, and that could force them into the market this summer.
The Red Devils appear to have already identified one of their potential recruits. GFFN cite France Football in reporting that AS Monaco star Bernardo Silva is in ‘advanced talks’ with Man United over a potential summer switch.
The Portuguese international has been enjoying a stellar season both domestically and in Europe, and it has caused his stock to rise considerably. France Football believe that Man United may be forced to pay as much as £42.6million in exchange for Silva’s services this summer.
Mourinho looks to be seeking success the only way he knows how – with his chequebook.
