Barcelona have been given a huge boost in relation to the fitness of club-record signing Ousamane Dembele, as it’s being reported that the France international could be set to return from injury in time for El Clasico.

This is according to Goal, who state that the former Borussia Dortmund ace, who swapped Germany for Spain over the summer, could make his long awaited return from injury in time for his side’s match against bitter rivals Real Madrid.

The player had been out with injury since mid-September, however if Goal’s words are anything to go by, it shouldn’t be long before we see the 20-year-old donning the club’s famous Blue and Red kit once again.

Dembele could be back in time for El Clasico

Since his arrival at the Nou Camp in the summer, Dembele’s injury has meant that the player has failed to make a significant impact with Ernesto Valverde’s side.

The player has only been able to make three appearances for the club since his big-money transfer, with the winger bagging one assists in those three games.

For Dortmund, Dembele showed exactly what he is capable of. In 50 games for the German outfit, the Frenchman managed to score 10 and assist 22, a commendable record considering the fact that Dembele is still very young.

Dembele’s lightning-quick pace and ability to use both feet to full affect has seen some label the 20-year-old as one of the best young talents in the whole of Europe.

With Dembele potentially set to be back in time for the first El Clasico of the season, and with Lionel Messi in tip top form, it seems as if Zinedine Zidane’s men are going to have their work cut out if they’re to close the gap on the Catalan giants.
