Barcelona’s want-away South American star is wanted at this top club, his departure from Barca looks certain

Paulo Dybala wants Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano to join him at Juventus with the defender’s future looking increasingly uncertain.

A report from Italian outlet CalcioMercato has stated that Dybala believes his international teammate could solve his misery at Barca by sealing a move to the Serie A.

While Mascherano has been an integral part to the unrivalled success of Barcelona in the last ten years it is starting to emerge that he is no longer needed by the La Liga club with match-time for the Argentine growing thinner and thinner.

Mascherano famously sealed a move to Barcelona in the summer of 2010 from English club Liverpool for a fee of £25m. In the last seven years that the Argentine has been at the Catalan club he has won every club competition in world football. (Fee per the Guardian.)

It would appear however that Mascherano is now eyeing a move away from the Spanish club despite seven highly decorated years in Spain.

It is not just Juventus however that have been linked to the star. Just last month a separate report from CalcioMercato linked the star to a move back to Liverpool.

Further, earlier in the month the Sun reported that the Argentine could be negotiating a move to take him back to his home country to play for River Plate.

Mascherano looks set to depart the Nou Camp but there are plenty of clubs that appear to be interested in the star. We could be poised for a manic battle for the Barcelona star next summer.
