Arsenal fans booed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s name when it was read out by the stadium announcer ahead of tonight’s game against Liverpool.
The England international is back at the Emirates Stadium for the first time since leaving Arsenal for Liverpool in the summer transfer window, it his exit clearly left a sour taste.
Oxlade-Chamberlain never exactly impressed on a consistent basis during his six years with the Gunners, and fans may feel he should’ve shown them more loyalty after a lot of patient development from manager Arsene Wenger.

Either that or it’s a bit of harmless banter as they enjoy the sight of the 24-year-old on Liverpool’s bench – much the same place as he often found himself for Arsenal.
If Oxlade-Chamberlain hoped he’d play more upon leaving Arsenal, he was clearly wrong, starting just seven games all season for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
