Real Madrid are reportedly considering signing Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta alongside Eden Hazard in a double transfer swoop, according to Don Balon.
The Blues star has been a crucial member of Antonio Conte’s side, filling in a number of roles to great effect and becoming considered a real cult hero at Stamford Bridge.
Azpilicueta would certainly be a big loss for Chelsea, but Don Balon claim Real Madrid scouts have sent very positive reports back to the club.
It’s a worrying time for Chelsea as the Sun also linked Hazard with Manchester United, though the west Londoners generally have a strong record of holding on to their best players.

Still, after a long and successful career in England, could Azpilicueta be tempted to return to his native Spain and play for arguably his country’s biggest club?
Chelsea will hope not, but Don Balon’s latest report suggests Los Blancos could try their luck with this audacious double raid.
The two clubs recently did some business together when Chelsea signed Alvaro Morata from Real during the summer transfer window.
