Manchester United are reportedly in talks to seal the transfer of £50million-rated Bordeaux forward Malcom, who has stood out as one of the top young players in Europe this season.
Still only 20, the Brazilian has shone for the Ligue 1 side with nine goals and four assists so far this term to attract talk of a move to a bigger club before long.
According to the Daily Mail, Bordeaux want around £50m for Malcom, but also have a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ to let him leave the club in the summer transfer window.
The report adds that United have already held talks over snapping up the exciting young attacker, but may only be prepared to pay as much as £33m for him.
The Mail also state Mourinho rates Malcom highly and thinks he can be a success in English football, while Arsenal are also mentioned as having scouted him in recent times.
United could certainly do with a player like Malcom in their attack at the moment, with the club struggling to impress in that department in recent games.
The Red Devils have drawn their last two league matches with Leicester City and Burnley – two teams they’d expect to beat.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is out of favour at the moment, while the form of players like Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial has taken something of a dip.
