Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has ordered three January transfer window signings as he feels vindicated in his request for more players after Manchester City’s amazing start to the season.
According to the Times, the Italian tactician has submitted a three-man wish-list to Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia, which includes a centre-back, a left-back and a striker.
The trio are not named in this report, but speculation elsewhere may give some clues as to who is on Conte’s radar this January.
The Daily Mail have linked the Blues with a surprise loan move for West Ham striker Andy Carroll, who could be a useful backup option to Alvaro Morata as the Times claim he’s happy to let Michy Batshuayi go.

In terms of a centre-back, Don Balon have linked Chelsea boss Conte with a request to sign AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci, whom he knows well from working with him with Juventus and the Italian national team.
Finally, the Independent suggest Alex Sandro may be one of Chelsea’s targets at left-back, though he seems an unrealistic option at this point as Juventus are reluctant to sell.
Still, with the Mail also claiming a deal for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley could be completed today, it could be a very busy month at Stamford Bridge.
