Man Utd demand SWAP deal if Real Madrid launch fresh bid for INFLUENTIAL ace

Man Utd have reportedly made a demand of their own if Real Madrid reignite their interest in one of Jose Mourinho’s most important players.

The Spanish giants have long been linked with a swoop for their top target David De Gea, but the Spaniard has remained at Old Trafford despite all the speculation.

From a United perspective, they’ll be desperate to keep hold of the shot-stopper for as long as possible such is his importance to the team having established himself as a world-class goalkeeper at the club.

However, if Madrid were to return, it’s reported by Don Balon, as re-reported by The Express, that the Red Devils will demand Marco Asensio is included in the deal.

The 21-year-old seemingly has a very bright future ahead of him having shown glimpses of his class at the Bernabeu, but as he continues to sit behind the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in the pecking order, he will likely struggle to force his way into becoming a first-team regular.

That’s where United come into it, as per Don Balon, as although they will naturally have no intention of losing De Gea, if they were to see him leave, then Asensio could be given a more prominent role in Manchester.

It’s also added that much depends on whether or not Zinedine Zidane is still in charge after this season given Madrid’s current struggles, and so time will tell if United’s reported demands come through in the event De Gea is linked with the Spanish giants again.
