Real Madrid narrow manager search down to three leading candidates, including Premier League pair

Real Madrid have reportedly narrowed their manager search down to three leading candidates, including Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino and Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp.

Zinedine Zidane is under pressure at the Bernabeu at the moment after a slump in form this season, with the club’s title hopes already in tatters after a slow start to the season.

According to Don Balon, Florentino Perez is looking at Germany boss Joacim Low as the leading contender to take Zidane’s place in the Madrid hot seat, but he could also consider a raid on the Premier League.

Pochettino has worked wonders at Tottenham and is claimed to be on Perez’s radar, while Klopp is also seen as something of an ambitious target from Liverpool.

It remains to be seen if either coach can be lured away from the Premier League, which has long been regarded as the strongest league in the world.

Of course, there is undoubtedly a great lure to managing a team like Real Madrid, and Pochettino in particular could see it as a step up from Spurs after working miracles on a small budget.

It seems like time for a change at Real, and fans would surely be happy with any of these three to come in for the struggling Zidane.
