Tottenham right-back Kieran Trippier has scored a superb free kick to give England a 1-0 lead over Croatia.
This stunning goal, shown in the video clips below, is only the fourth goal the Three Lions have ever scored at this stage, and Trippier only the third scorer.
In 1966, when England went on to win the competition, they beat Portugal 2-1 thanks to a brace from Bobby Charlton in the semi-finals, and their only other appearance was a defeat to Germany in 1990, when Gary Lineker scored in a 1-1 draw before an eventual defeat on penalties.
