France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will want to forget this moment in a hurry after he committed a horror blunder in the World Cup final against Croatia.
With France looking in complete control after opening up a 4-1 lead, Didier Deschamps would have been desperate to avoid seeing his side give Croatia any hope of launching a comeback.

However, Lloris evidently didn’t receive the message as after he looked to play it out from the back, he only served to allow Mario Mandzukic to close him down and send the rebounded effort into the back of the net.
The Tottenham shot-stopper will of course be desperate for it to not prove to be costly, but it’s not a good moment for him as it was a completely avoidable goal and it would have left him red-faced on the biggest of stages.
Nevertheless, given the number of decisive saves he’s made in the tournament, he’ll likely be forgiven if France go on to lift the World Cup as he has been crucial in their run to the final.
