Maurizio Sarri appointment unable to convince Chelsea trio not to seek transfers away

The appointment of Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea manager will not reportedly be enough to persuade Willian to stay at the club, it has emerged.

The Brazil international has been a key player for the Blues since his arrival at Stamford Bridge back in 2014, but it seems his stay at the club could now be coming to an end.

While it’s claimed the mood at the club has changed under Sarri since he replaced Antonio Conte, it seems Willian, Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois all remain keen to leave, according to the Sun.

The report notes that Manchester United and Barcelona could be possible destinations for the 29-year-old, while the Daily Star have linked Real Madrid with Hazard, and Marca claim Courtois is looking closer to a move to the Bernabeu as well.

This could be a devastating blow to Chelsea if they lose three senior players, who have all been among their top performers in recent seasons.

CFC have not generally lost their star names during the Roman Abramovich era, so this is something of uncharted territory for them, and far from an ideal start for new manager Sarri.

Willian made his feelings pretty clear about Conte after posting this picture editing him out of the team’s FA Cup final celebrations in May, but the Sun claim the change in management has not been enough to stop him looking to leave west London.
