Barcelona are close to sealing a transfer away from the club for Yerry Mina, after Everton lodged a €30M (£27M) bid for the defender.
This is according to Goal, who state that the Toffees are on the verge of bringing the Colombian to the Premier League this summer after they made their offer for the Barcelona star.
The report also notes that Barca are prepared to accept Everton’s bid for the former Palmeiras man, and that an option to buy the player back in the future will be in the deal.
Barcelona bringing in €30M for Mina would be a great move from the club, as the star has only really managed to impress fans during his time at the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Every time he was given an opportunity to impress by Ernesto Valverde last season, the Colombian international failed to deliver every time.
Mina’s strong of lacklustre performances for the Blaugrana lead to a lot of fans losing faith in the centre-back, with it being preferred to see Vermaelen step in at the heart of their defence than the youngster.
The player did impressive thoroughly at the World Cup though, scoring three times as his side ended up crashing out on penalties to England in the round of 16.
Mina will have it all to prove at Everton should his move go through, and Barca fans will definitely be hoping that it does, for theirs and the player’s sake.
