Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing up a move for Inter Milan and Argentina star Mauro Icardi, a player who Julen Lopetegui has has given a thumbs up for the club to sign.
This is according to Don Balon, who note that Los Blancos are weighing up a move for the Argentine, and that they are hoping to get the player for €100M, which is €10M less than his release clause.
The report also notes that Lopetegui wants to bring in a striker this summer, and there definitely aren’t many better options out than that Inter star Icardi.
Icardi has managed to develop himself into one of the world’s greatest forwards these past few years, with the striker’s ability to finish in front of goal being one of his main assets.
In the past three seasons, Icardi has managed to bag himself 69 league goals in 101 league appearances for Inter, a superb record considering that the Italian giants don’t have the most creative of players at their disposal.
One of the reasons as to why Icardi is to lethal is that the Argentina international has the ability to finish any kind of chance that comes his way.
The forward is capable of scoring with either foot and his head, something that has seen him become a real force of nature in Serie A.
Real signing Icardi would definitely add goals to their team, something they’ll certainly be needing after seeing Cristiano Ronaldo depart the club this summer.
