Manchester United star not interested in transfer to Premier League side because they’re a small club

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is reportedly not keen on a transfer to newly-promoted Wolves this summer as he views them as a ‘minor club’.

This is according to Ole, with translation from Sport Witness, as Rojo seems to mull over his future at Old Trafford.

The report also mentions interest from Everton, which has also been reported by Goal as the Toffees look for a new centre-back signing before the transfer deadline.

In a potential defender merry-go-round, that report also links Everton with Barcelona’s Yerry Mina, whom the Daily Mirror also claim is a target for Manchester United, perhaps as an ideal replacement for Rojo.

The Argentine may prove hard to shift, however, if he doesn’t fancy linking up with some big names in this exciting project going on at Wolves right now.

United will just hope to be rid of him and to sign some upgrades at the back after failing to land some truly world class players in that area for some time now.

Eric Bailly is probably the closest they have at the moment, though the Ivorian has had his injury troubles and been in and out of the starting XI in his time at Old Trafford so far.

Elsewhere, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones no longer look good enough to be first choice, while Victor Lindelof has not settled as would have been hoped.
