Barcelona ace set for €32m exit as deal touted to join Premier League side

Barcelona could reportedly be set for a financial boost this week as Yerry Mina is set for a move to Everton in a deal worth €32m.

The Catalan giants have lost Andres Iniesta and Paulinho this summer, but they’ve also strengthened Ernesto Valverde’s squad with the likes of Clement Lenglet, Arthur and Malcom.

As seen in the club’s tweet below, Arturo Vidal is set to become their fourth major signing of the summer as he’ll be officially unveiled on Monday, and so they have certainly spent a significant amount of money on new players ahead of the new campaign.

As per Sport, they could be about to take a step towards balancing the books as it’s claimed that Mina will depart after just half a season with the club to join Everton in a €32m deal.

The 23-year-old made just six appearances for Barcelona after signing in January, and it was evident that he was struggling to entirely settle into his new surroundings while adapting to the club’s style of play.

Nevertheless, he did enjoy an impressive World Cup in Russia earlier this summer, and so coupled with time to find his feet at the Nou Camp, it could have been expected that he would be given more time to prove his worth to the La Liga champions.

Based on this report, he won’t get the opportunity to do so, and after struggling to displace either Samuel Umtiti or Gerard Pique last season, the addition of Lenglet to the squad this summer arguably would have pushed the Colombian international further down the pecking order.

It remains to be seen if his move to Merseyside becomes official in time with the English transfer deadline set for Thursday. However, based on the report above, it would appear as though he’s on the cusp of sealing an exit from Barcelona.
