Champions League giants Paris Saint Germain are ready to offer £100m for the transfer of Tottenham star Christian Eriksen according to the Express.
The Parisians have had their eyes set on signing a midfield maestro this summer with Thomas Tuchel’s side also reported in that piece as holding a keen interest in Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic.
The pressure is piling on for PSG to make one more star signing this summer before the European transfer deadline on Friday. Signing Eriksen would no doubt fit the bill and excite fans ahead of the new season.
The Express also understand that Eriksen is currently stalling in contract negotiations with Mauricio Pochettino’s side – the Danish superstar is looking for a wage on par with the club’s highest earner Harry Kane.
With only two years left on the Dane’s contract the possibility of a move away giving Tottenham the chance to cash in on their prized possession is looking increasingly likely.
26-year-old Eriksen joined Spurs in August of 2013 for a fee reported to be £11.5m by BBC Sport and has since went on to make 173 Premier League appearances for the White Hart Lane outfit.
During his time with Spurs Eriksen has contributed 41 goals and 48 assists, the Tottenham star will be in action on Monday evening when his face Manchester United in a mouthwatering matchup.
Tottenham have done reasonably well to hold on to this current core of exciting young players, though in recent history they have seen big names like Gareth Bale and Luka Modric poached by bigger clubs when they’ve come calling, so fans will hope there isn’t late heartache for them this summer.
