Manchester United are reportedly up against Chelsea in a transfer battle for exciting young Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The talented 21-year-old has impressed in the Premier League in recent times and the Daily Mirror claim United, Chelsea and Manchester City look to be among his suitors.

This makes sense for United in particular as they surely need to bring in a long-term replacement for Antonio Valencia after his dip in form this season.

The Ecuadorian is now 33 years old and another Daily Mirror piece recently linked him with Inter Milan.

Wan-Bissaka looks like he has what it takes to make the step up to a bigger club soon, having shown himself to be one of the top up-and-coming defensive talents in the country.

United already have Diogo Dalot as another promising young player for that position, but he currently has less experience at this level than Wan-Bissaka.

Chelsea could also do with more youth in their defence, with their current crop of defenders made up of the likes of David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, all of whom are either in their late 20s or early 30s.
