Chelsea transfer news: Concern over €100m-rated ace’s exit, target sends cryptic message

Chelsea could reportedly come under increasing pressure to keep hold of Eden Hazard as Real Madrid are being strongly linked with a swoop.

The 28-year-old has continued to play a fundamental role for the Blues so far this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists in just 27 games.

With that in mind, Chelsea will surely have no desire to let him leave Stamford Bridge, but worryingly Marca have suggested that the Belgian international could be moving closer to a switch to Real Madrid.

It’s added that Chelsea want €100m for their talisman, and so it remains to be seen whether or not the Spanish giants are willing to splash out to get their target as they look to properly fill the void left behind by Cristiano Ronaldo after his move to Juventus last summer.

In order to continue to compete for major honours and keep progressing under Maurizio Sarri, Chelsea will undoubtedly be desperate to hold on to Hazard. However, time will tell if that touted asking price is met by Madrid, which in turn could signal an exit.

With regards to possible arrivals, Lyon star Nabil Fekir has seemingly left the door open to a move to England in the future, with Chelsea specifically linked with the playmaker previously, as per the Daily Mail.

The 25-year-old has caught the eye with his form in Ligue 1, as he has continued to impress this season with eight goals and five assists in 20 appearances.

Now, he has sent a cryptic message to potential suitors, while also addressing the Chelsea rumours specifically as noted in his comments below.

“I do not know. Last year was supposed to be my last, and in the end I’m still here. I cannot know the answer to this. I am happy at Lyon, but which player doesn’t dream of discovering a new league, another club?” he is quoted as saying by Get French Football News.

“They [Chelsea] haven’t called me, but they can be watching my situation without calling me.”

Particularly if Hazard was to leave, Chelsea could look to swoop for Fekir to add to the potential arrivals of Gonzalo Higuain, as per the Mirror, while they have already secured a deal for Christian Pulisic to arrive from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, as noted by BBC Sport.
