Offer accepted: Arsenal target skips training today to complete Gunners transfer

Arsenal have reportedly had a loan offer for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez accepted at last, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Spain international has long been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium and it seems he could now be close to finalising his exit from the Nou Camp.

Romano says Barcelona have just accepted a loan offer, which follows a quote doing the rounds from manager Ernesto Valverde claiming the deal is nearly official.

On top of all that, RAC1 are claiming via a tweet that Suarez will not take part in training with Barca today as he prepares to bid farewell to his team-mates and make a move to Arsenal.

They suggest this will be an initial loan with the option of a permanent transfer to north London in the summer.

Arsenal fans will be glad to see some new blood coming in to fix their struggling midfield, even if Suarez is not exactly the biggest name in the world.

The 25-year-old has shown some promise and is unlucky to be behind so many world class players in the pecking order at Barcelona.

He has also shone under Arsenal manager Unai Emery in the past, playing for him at Sevilla.
