Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has sent a message to Mesut Ozil via Instagram telling him he wants the captain’s armband next time he goes off.
The France international was responding to a photo of Ozil giving the armband to Aaron Ramsey, but it seems he fancies a shot at skippering the side.

Of course, it remains to be seen how serious Lacazette was being, but there are no jokey emojis or signs that he’s messing around.
