Manchester United have been given a huge Philippe Coutinho transfer boost as Barcelona now look prepared to change their mind and sell the former Liverpool star.

The Brazil international, also a transfer target for Chelsea to replace Real Madrid-bound Eden Hazard, is one of the best players in the world in his position on his day, though things haven’t quite worked out for him at Barcelona.

It now seems Coutinho could be heading back to the Premier League as recent speculation has strongly linked him as being a big-money target for the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea.

And while it initially seemed Barca were reluctant to sell the 26-year-old, it is now claimed that they’ve made a U-turn on that and could let him go this summer, according to the Metro.

This is an exciting development for MUFC, who urgently need an upgrade on Alexis Sanchez, with Coutinho looking an ideal fit for their style of play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
