Chelsea could pocket €10m as loanee tipped for permanent exit

Chelsea loanee Ola Aina could reportedly seal a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, with Torino tipped to sign him outright.

The 22-year-old has made 22 appearances in all competitions so far this season, establishing himself as a key figure in Walter Mazzarri’s side.

Given the likelihood that he will struggle to secure regular playing time at Chelsea if he were to return with the competitions for places in mind, a permanent move to the Serie A outfit could arguably be the most sensible decision for his career to continue to develop and improve.

According to Calciomercato, Torino president Urbano Cairo is said to be eager to turn his loan spell into a permanent one, and it’s added that the Granata do have a €10m option to buy included in their current agreement with Chelsea.

Should Aina continue to impress between now and the end of the season, it seems likely that the Blues could be set to lose a top young talent.

However, it will seemingly make sense for all parties concerned as Torino would keep him for the foreseeable future, Aina would continue to play a prominent role and Chelsea could use the funds raised from his sale to put towards strengthening Maurizio Sarri’s squad this summer.

Should a permanent transfer materialise, the Nigerian international would leave having made just six appearances for Chelsea at senior level, having also previously been sent out on loan at Hull City last season.
