Tottenham readying big money offer for in-form Premier League star

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Brighton and Hove Albion forward Leandro Trossard.

The 28-year-old was left out of the squad to face Liverpool on Saturday because of behavioral issues and the player’s representatives have confirmed his desire to leave the club this month.

Tottenham are reportedly looking to bring in attacking reinforcements this month and according to a report from Football Insider, they are ready to submit a big money offer for the Belgian.

The 28-year-old has been in fine form so far scoring 7 goals and picking up 3 assists in the Premier League. With the likes of Son Heung-Min failing to hit top form this season, Antonio Conte could certainly use someone like Trossard to share the goal-scoring burden alongside Harry Kane.

Summer signing Richarlison is currently sidelined with an injury as well and Tottenham need to bring in quality attacking reinforcements before the January window closes.

The Londoners will be hoping to secure a top-four finish and qualify for the Champions league. It remains to be seen whether Conte can get the desired signings across the line and help Tottenham finish the season strongly.

Meanwhile, Trossard is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an immediate impact at Tottenham if the move goes through. He will be determined to play at a higher level now and Tottenham can certainly provide him with that platform. The Belgian would get to experience Champions League football at the London club as well.
