Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing the Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
The 28-year-old has been in fine form this season scoring 8 goals and picking up 2 assists across all competitions. He will add goals and creativity to Eddie Howe’s side. Furthermore, Ward-Prowse is lethal from free-kicks and his set-piece prowess will add a new dimension to the Newcastle attack.
The Magpies are reportedly looking to add more creativity to their midfield and it remains to be seen whether they can agree on a deal with Southampton at the end of the season.
A report from Fichajes claims that Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham United are following the English midfielder as well. All three clubs need to add depth in the middle of the park and Ward-Prowse would be a useful addition.
The 28-year-old is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an immediate impact.
Manchester United will have to replace players like Scott McTominay in the summer and the Southampton midfielder seems like a quality option.
Similarly, Chelsea are expected to lose players like N’Golo Kante on a free transfer and they will need to bring in reinforcements as well.
West Ham United are expected to lose Declan Rice, who wants to join a club in the Champions league.
