Arsenal are reportedly the frontrunners for Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans ahead of his contract expiring at the King Power this summer.
That is according to Football Insider, who reports that Leicester haven’t given up hope of the Belgium international extending his stay, but all signs point towards a summer exit.
The midfielder has been with the Foxes since 2019 and has accumulated over 50 goal contributions for Leicester across the 186 appearances he has made for the Premier League club.
With his time at Leicester coming to an end, a host of clubs are queueing up for his signature, which includes two from England.
According to Football Insider, Arsenal are the frontrunners for Tielemans, as the 25-year-old will allow the club to add another midfielder for free.
The report says that both Newcastle and Barcelona are also plotting moves to sign the Belgian star, in what should be an interesting race to watch over the summer.
Tielemans is one of the Premier League’s most talented midfield stars and the chance to sign him for free should intrigue a lot of clubs.
