Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old midfielder was linked with a move to Arsenal during the January transfer window but the Gunners failed to agree on a deal with the Seagulls.

A report from Football Insider claims that Arsenal remain interested in signing the Ecuador midfielder at the end of the season and they will face competition from Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.

However, Caicedo has now signed a new deal until the summer of 2027 with Brighton and he is likely to cost upwards of £90 million.

It remains to be seen whether the Gunners are prepared to pay a club record fee in order to sign the 21-year-old at the end of the season. There is no doubt that Caicedo is one of the most promising young talents in European football he could improve Arsenal immensely.

The Gunners are in need of central midfield reinforcements and they have been linked with players like Caicedo and Declan rice.

Caicedo has the potential to develop into a top-class player and working with a coach like Mikel Arteta could help him improve further. He has the ability to justify the outlay in the long run.

Moises Caicedo to Arsenal?

The Arsenal manager has done well to improve the talented young players at the club and he could have a positive impact on the development of the Brighton midfielder as well.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few months.

  1. Arsenal should not entertain this madness. Should just look somewhere else. There’s a lot good players out there which are great and cheaper.
