Arsenal do something no Premier League team has done in 15 years in title race capitulation

Arsenal’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester City means that they’ve matched their own stat from 15 years ago, unfortunately, it’s one they rather forget.

According to OptaJoe, the Gunners are the first Premier League side since themselves in 2008 to go winless four games in a row whilst being at the top of the table.

Before the clash against Pep Guardiola’s side, Arsenal had drawn their last three matches against Southampton, West Ham and Liverpool.

In our view, the defeat at the hands of City makes those three draws feel like six big points dropped from an Arsenal standpoint.

With five games left, you’d expect the North London-based side to pick up a total higher than 80 points. Which in seasons past would usually be enough to lift a league title.

However, with the way City have performed in recent years, it required the likes of Liverpool to attain a higher points tally.

After all, it’s a young team, so some fans will hope this is just the beginning of a side which can challenge, compete and even win England’s top flight in years to come.

I get that all of us would of snapped your hands of to even finish 2nd is a brilliant season but hats of to Man City they are relentless and there squad is maybe the best I’ve ever witnessed I’ve seen some unbelievable teams us in 2004 Man Utd in 1999 but this city team are different class we need 5 players to even get close a better cb for cover a defensive midfielder another right midfielder as cover and a out and out striker Jesus would be great as a number 10 partey needs to leave people rave about him this season if you watch every game like I do you will realise he always loses his man de bruyne destroyed him
