Saudis to offer Liverpool a last chance to bag over £100m for Salah

It’s a move that no Liverpool fan would want to contemplate, but there’s no getting away from the fact that Mo Salah is the wrong side of 30 and there’s only one chance left for the club to cash in on him.

The Egyptian King has been the Reds talisman ever since he signed for the club back in 2017 but for him to leave the club at the same time as the man who signed him, Jurgen Klopp, would represent a real ‘before and after’ moment at the club.

Of course, it’s often said that no one person is bigger than the club and that’s as true in Salah’s case as any other player.

With ESPN reporting that Al Ittihad are likely to come back in for the Egyptian this summer, it does represent a real dilemma for the club.

Salah’s contract runs out in June 2025, meaning that this summer is effectively the final time the Reds would be able to demand a significant fee of around £100m for their player.

At 32 years of age before the start of the 2024/25 season, there’s a cogent reason for acceding to the whims of the Saudis because of that.

That said, Salah’s own point of view isn’t known.

He may well decide that he wants to see out the remainder of his contract with the Anfield-based outfit before making his next contract decision on his own terms.

  1. This article is false

Saudis know another year of poor attendance

and their pro league will be hard to revive

Salah needs to be a statement, so they will need to spend 200+ million pounds.

As LFC will just keep him another year and extend his contract, meaning Saudi will NEVER see Salah play in their pro-league. Lowballing for Salah or getting him on free put the Saudi Pro-League in a bad light as well. so the Saudi Pro-League have to really statement purchase him at the minimum of 200 million pounds
