Tottenham and Man United covet outstanding 18-year-old Kuwaiti ace says Romano

With just over a couple of months left to go of the current Premier League season, Tottenham Hotspur and Man United are just two of many clubs that will almost certainly already be doing their due diligence on players that they wish to sign in the summer transfer window.

Each club will have their own priorities of course, though it appears the Lilywhites and the Red Devils are amongst many that are tracking the same target.

At the age of just 18, Roony Bardghji, born in Kuwait but who moved to Sweden at a young age and represents the latter’s national team, is a highly-prized capture for many teams.

Tottenham could fight Man United for Roony Bardghji

Currently plying his trade for Copenhagen in Denmark, the youngster really came to prominence when scoring against United in this season’s Champions League, but has since sunk without trace.

“Roony Bardghji, who many of you probably remember because he scored a very important goal against Manchester United for Copenhagen in the Champions League, is not playing for the Danish side at the moment. Zero minutes,” Fabrizio Romano said for his exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside.

“Many people are asking why because we know that there are many important clubs following this boy. So, why is he not playing?

“According to my information it’s because the player has no intention of signing a new deal at Copenhagen. This is the situation as of now, his current contract expires in December 2025.

“So it means that if nothing changes in the summer, he will be available with 18 months left on his contract.

“Already clubs like Tottenham for sure, but also Manchester United and Barcelona, have sent scouts multiple times to follow the player’s progress.”

Romano’s words would appear to be fairly definitive on the situation, so one can imagine a real bun-fight in the summer as some of Europe’s heavyweight clubs all try and muscle in on a deal to sign the talented teen.

Given that he isn’t playing at all, it would seem that Copenhagen have already washed their hands of him, but his transfer could still end up being one of the soap operas of the close season.
