The path to the Champions League title was made on Friday morning as Arsenal and the seven other clubs learn how they can get to Wembley Stadium.

The Gunners overcame FC Porto in the round of 16 in dramatic fashion as the North London side needed penalties to get past the Portuguese giants.

Their reward for their efforts is a tie against German champions Bayern Munich and Arsenal’s sporting director, Edu, has reacted to facing the Bundesliga giants in the quarter-finals.

“It’s a beautiful game to play. It’s the quarter-final of the Champions League, there will be a lot of fantastic players on the field and I’m sure it’ll be a great atmosphere in both stadiums. We’ll do our best and try to do everything to get through to the next phase,” Edu said via Sky Sports.

Can Mikel Arteta guide Arsenal to the Champions League?

Can Arsenal win the Champions League?

Man City will be favourites in most people’s eyes to lift the Champions League this season but Arsenal will certainly be one of their biggest rivals for Europe’s biggest prize.

The Gunners have been in superb form in 2024 and Mikel Arteta’s team look like they could achieve something special this season.

However, the North London club have a tricky path to the Champions League trophy as if they overcome Bayern Munich, Arsenal will face the winner of Man City and Real Madrid.

Arteta will be embracing this challenge and winning the trophy at Wembley having come through this path would be an incredible way for the Gunners to win their first Champions League trophy.

  1. If we can overcome Bayern Munich everything is possible. Real Madrid were not very good against Leibzig and we know ManCity good enough and have allreddy won the twice this term.
