Although he’d had a quiet game by his recent standards, Phil Foden soon wrote his name all over Man City’s Champions League fixture against Real Madrid.
Los Blancos had had the upper hand in the game after turning the tie around once Bernardo Silva had given City a lead before two minutes was on the clock.
Eduardo Camavinga and Rodrygo had handed Real the advantage and they’d looked comfortable for the most part.
However, a tactical tweak from Pep Guardiola saw the visitors begin to impose themselves, and the equaliser when it came was an absolute stunner.
Foden opened his body up and didn’t need asking twice as his rocket found the top corner.
