Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed his interest in Man City striker Edin Dzeko according to the Express.

Klopp has openly courted the former Wolfsburg forward but insists that the Bosnian would have to reduce his wage demands if he were to ever complete a move to the Bundesliga champions.

Klopp is quoted as saying: “He is an extraordinary forward.

“Falcao for example is great as well. One thing we can say about these names, but also about others: At Borussia Dortmund, everything was made regarding our conditions and salary structures. We won’t cancel this for any player in the world.

“That is what he has to do by himself. If and when Robert [Lewandowski] leaves, a new forward has to accept our conditions. Then he is interesting.

“If anybody wants to come to us, he has to adapt financially. Then he can have real fun, probably more than at his old club.”

Dzeko is by no means a first team regular at Man City but has still managed 11 goals in all competitions this season but any January move would appear to be next to impossible now that Roberto Mancini has opted to offload troubled forward Mario Balotelli to AC Milan.
