Former Everton star Graeme Sharp has expressed his concern that Marouane Fellaini could leave the club this summer according to talkSport.

Fellaini has become one of the club’s most impressive performers in recent seasons for Everton. The Belgian midfielder is becoming one of the most highly rated players in the Premier League and that has been attracting the attention of a number of top sides.

Chelsea and Manchester United are both thought to be monitoring the beanpole midfielder’s availability after Fellaini expressed his desire to move to a bigger club.

With the future of manager David Moyes also uncertain, it seems likely that Fellaini will leave Goodison Park in favour of a team playing regular Champions League football.

Everton might have an outside chance of keeping hold of Fellaini should they qualify for the competition.

The club currently lie in sixth, six points off Tottenham in fourth but with a game in hand. But with just seven games left to play, Everton know they face an uphill battle to secure a top four finish.

Sharp stated that he believes Fellaini will call time on his Goodison Park career this summer, stating that he hopes he will be proved wrong but fears the player feel the time is right to make a move.
