Borussia Dortmund are staying coy over whether they will make a concrete move for Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne this summer, according to Sky Sports.

The 21-year-old has spent the season on loan with Bundesliga rivals Werder Bremen where he has impressed with eight goals in 33 appearances.

It had been thought that he would be a makeweight in the deal that would take Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Andre Schurrle to Stamford Bridge but that link has now gone quiet.

Chelsea are thought to be keen to offload him this summer anyway and should he not be used in any part exchange deal then Borussia Dortmund are said to be the frontrunners to land his signature.

However, the club’s general manager Michael Zorc admitted that though he is a fan of the player, he refused to confirm whether the club would be making a move for him this summer.

“I am not going to either confirm or deny this (agreement),” Zorc told Bild. “Kevin de Bruyne is under contract with Chelsea FC, he is a good player currently on loan at Werder Bremen.”

De Bruyne is still unclear over where he will be next term but has claimed that he is receiving offers all the time; “I am receiving a lot of offers for next season,” he said. “But I am not yet aware where I will play next term.”
