Schalke ace could be heading to England sooner rather than later.
Arsenal and Chelsea have been put oh high alert after it emerged that German side Schalke are already lining up a replacement for young homegrown star Julian Draxler, according to talkSPORT.
The Bundesliga giants are said to be fighting it out with Newcastle United to land the signature of Stuttgart midfielder Ibrahima Traore, and should they be successful then it could pave the way for Draxler to make his way over to the Premier League.
Traore is nearing the end of his contract with Stuttgart, and Schalke and Newcastle are locked in a battle to snap him up on a free transfer next summer.
And Schalke’s interest in the Guinea international, 25, suggests they are already planning for life without starlet Draxler.
The 20-year-old is valued at around £40m and is regarded as one of the brightest talents to emerge from the Bundesliga and has a long trail of interested parties in the English top flight.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea are thought to be frontrunners to land his signature after monitoring him since his breakthrough into the first team and could make their moves for him in the summer.
