AC Milan Want Liverpool Veteran

Check in to Crystal Palace vs Liverpool

AC Milan are reportedly keen on landing Liverpool centre-back Kolo Toure according to Football Direct News.

Whilst experienced Ivory Coast international Toure only arrived at Anfield last summer there is every chance that an offer for his services could be considered by boss Brendan Rodgers after a less than glorious debut campaign from the former Arsenal and Man City man.

Toure has looked off the pace and error prone this term and is clearly not a long term defensive option for Rodgers and if the Northern Irishman is looking at potential additions to his back-line then Toure’s departure may well be welcomed in order to make way for such signings.

There is no denying that in his day Toure was a very able performer, the 33 year old has after all won Premier League titles for two clubs, but it’s clear that at present he is not a player who Liverpool can rely upon.

In the 15 matches Toure has started Liverpool have conceded 22 goals and Rodgers has seemingly been loathed to use the veteran unless he absolutely has no other choice.

A fresh challenge in Serie A could well interest Toure who has just over a year to run on his current Liverpool contract.
