Liverpool appear to be edging closer to completing the long awaited capture of Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno with the BBC claiming that the two clubs are finally in agreement over the player’s fee.

The 22 year old will cost the Anfield side £12m with Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre having spent the day with Sevilla ahead of their Super Cup Final tie with Real Madrid.

The move is expected to lead to Martin Kelly leaving Liverpool to join Crystal Palace in a £1.5m deal.

Moreno narrowly missed out on a berth in Vicente del Bosque’s 2014 World Cup finals squad and is considered one of the hottest prospects in Spanish football and will offer Brendan Rodgers an alternative to current first choice left-back Jose Enrique, who missed most of last term through injury.
