Arsenal Forward Confirms Hopes For Transfer Exit

The German international has yet to start a game this season.

Lukas Podolski is unhappy with the lack of playing time he is getting at Arsenal and will seriously consider leaving, possibly even in January.

The 29-year-old, who has been at Arsenal since 2012, has never really established himself as a first team regular and the arrival of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck has pushed him further down the pecking order.

“I cannot be satisfied with the situation I am in at Arsenal,” Sky Sports have reported him telling the German press. “I am under contract at Arsenal and I am unable to say, ‘I am off.'”

“I am going to think things over as soon as it’s going to be winter time.”

Podolski is an enigma in world football. He has 118 Germany caps and has performed exceptionally well in several World Cups. However, he has never been able to establish himself at a top club. His move to Bayern Munich progressed much as his move to Arsenal has: early promise and occasional flashes; ultimately let down by a lack of consistency.

With only a few years left, Podolski knows he probably only has one big move left, and he must ensure it is the right one.
