The 19-year-old yesterday feared that his dream move to the Serie A giants was dead after his mother, who also acts as his agent, failed to agree to the move.

However, Garcia has offered hope to Rabiot by saying that a move could still happen in the January transfer window.

“We are always interested in quality players. Some are accessible, others less so,” Garcia told Sport Mediaset.

“Until January he [Rabiot] will remain at PSG, but after that he is free to decide his next destination.”

The defensive midfielder has badly fallen out with current club Paris St Germain over the lack of first team opportunities that he is getting at the Parc des Princes.

The French champions recently ended contract discussions with the youngster, meaning he can leave for free next summer when his current deal expires.

Arsenal have also been tracking Rabiot and look set to rival Roma for his signature with a cut price move for the player in January.
