The Argentine international is widely thought to be unhappy with life at the Nou Camp at the moment, and has arguably struggled to replicate the finest form of his career since Guardiola left the club back in 2012.
The Spanish tactician is now doing great work at the Allianz Arena, and could now be lining up a hugely ambitious move to sign Messi from his old employers, competing with big names such as Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.
The 27-year-old attacker would no doubt make a terrific signing for the Bavarian giants, who look to be replacing Guardiola’s old club Barcelona as the dominant force in European football in the last few years.
While Guardiola led Barca to the treble in his time at the club, Bayern themselves have repeated this feat during the 2012/13 season, and the addition of Messi could put them on course to continue their immense success for many years to come.
