Due to UEFA rules meaning that no teams from the same country can play against each other yet in the competition, certain match ups are more likely than others. As Bayern Munich are unable to play Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke, and Manchester City in the next round, it means that a match against the Gunners is more likely. The North London club’s inability to play Chelsea also helps.
Manchester City meanwhile are most likely to play against Borussia Dortmund for similar reasons involving their German rivals. This would be a good draw for the Citizens as they would miss out on both Real Madrid and Barcelona, and Dortmund have been struggling of late.
Chelsea meanwhile can look forward to a match with Bayer Leverkusen according to the stats. This is also a match that would be welcomed, as they would miss playing Juventus or Paris St. Germain.
