Why Chelsea And Arsenal Target Moussa Sissoko Should Be January’s Most Wanted

According to the article the midfielder has been linked to Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool over the last few weeks, while Ligue 1 giants PSG have also been rumoured to be interested in the player. However, it now seems that these clubs will face a much harder task than first thought to prise the player away from the Magpies.

Since the sale of Yohan Cabaye last January, the Frenchman has become a key part of the team at the North East club. He has been named captain for some recent matches when normal skipper Fabricio Coloccini was unable to play.

A Goal source said, “There are no talks at all, indeed Moussa has never been happier, he loved captaining the side recently and is very settled in the area.” They also claimed that the 25-year-old is valued at €32 million by the club, rather than the €19 million that has been quoted.

The Tyneside club are currently searching for a new head coach following the departure of Alan Pardew to Crystal Palace. It is unknown who is in line for the job, but whoever it is will have deal with Sissoko’s future almost as soon as they come in through the door.
