Jose Mourinho’s originally said the player would be part of his plans against Bradford City.

Andre Schurrle looks to be nearing his Stamford Bridge swan song with the Chelsea forward completely left out of the Blues FA Cup squad to face Bradford City.

Mourinho had earlier insisted in his pre-match press conference that the winger would play a part in the 4th round clash but the German was neither on the bench or in the starting XI.

This snub is the latest hint the winger could be on the way out of the West London side after being heavily linked with a move back to the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, reports Daily Mail.

Mourinho was asked about Schurrle’s future just this week with speculation mounting he is looking to move the German on and replace him with Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado.

“The principle is that we would like him to stay. The question is not to be allowed or not allowed. The question is not to have a good offer.

‘The question is to have a phenomenal offer and a player to be super keen to accept a new challenge in his career because we don’t want to sell our players,” he said.

Whilst Chelsea are said to want £27 million for the player, a figure that would give a cushy profit from the £18m they paid Bayer Leverkusen in 2013, they aren’t in any rush to sanction a deal in this window.

However, the Mail’s report goes on to say that Schurrle has given his teammates the impression that he is ready to leave the club.
