The Spaniard has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this season, with the 22-year-old struggling to make an impact under boss Carlo Ancelotti, and failing to pip the likes of Isco and Gareth Bale to place in the often unchanged Real team.

According to the Express, Mourinho has been monitoring the forward for the past two seasons, and the Portuguese was rumoured to be readying a £15m bid for the Spanish Under-21 in the summer.

However, in an interview with Spanish newspaper AS, the 22-year-old revealed that he has no desire to ever leave the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium having been with the club since his early teen years.

He said, “I’ve no intention of leaving. I’d like to retire here.

“I arrived at the club when I was 13 years old. I’m now 22 and I’d like to leave the club when I’m 40,” added Jese.

“I’m so happy here and this is my lifelong club”.

The forward is in high spirits following the Spanish giants’ 3-0 victory over Eibar on Saturday afternoon, with Jese being handed a rare start by Ancelotti, playing the full 90 minutes, and netted his side’s third goal.
