Saido Berahino’s future at The Hawthorns looks to have already been resolved according to West Brom manager Tony Pulis, Mail Online reports.

Pulis is said to have already spoken about pre-season plans with the youngster and hinted that his leading scorer is happy at the club:

“Hopefully he’s away with the under 21s so I have had a chat with him about pre-season and the time he’ll have off but I haven’t spoken about anything else to him.” he told reporters (via Mail Online)

“I think the kid is happy here, he has played that way and certainly worked that way. We’re more than happy to have him here because he has been very good.” he added.

The news will come as a blow to Liverpool, who have been heavily linked with a move for the England under-21 star since last summer and were tipped to make a big money move for the striker in the January transfer window by The Telegraph, although that proved to be nothing more than just speculation.

Berahino, who shares the same agent with Raheem Sterling, revealed in an interview with Sky Sports earlier in the year, stressed his desire to one day play for a “bigger club”, this then prompted speculation about his future in the Midlands.

This season the 21-year-old has scored 12 league goals which has helped the Baggies pull away from the relegation zone, although they are not yet guaranteed safety.
