(Video) Raheem Sterling on hippy crack: Liverpool star’s allegedly filmed on legal high in latest controversy

‘Laughing gas’, as it’s more commonly known, is NOT illegal, and is used extensively by clubbers as a result – but it has been linked to the deaths of 17 people since 2006…

Why footballers keep allowing their friends to film them privately (remember the Wayne Rooney k.o?), before letting videos mysteriously reach the media, is another matter entirely…

Nevertheless, the message should be clear: cut it out Raheem, and start doing what you do brilliantly – performing for Liverpool on the football field.

Sterling scored a wonderful goal this evening against Newcastle, which helped us secure a 2-0 win, and puts us straight back into the race for the top four.

Sadly, we can’t imagine social media channels and supporters will be discussing his promising performance too heavily by Tuesday, and will instead be focussing on this gaffe.

What do you make of it, Reds? A load of fuss about nothing, or a worrying sign of a young man struggling to deal with the pressure of being an exceptional professional footballer?
