According to The Sun, the 20-year-old is wanted by Serie A giants Juventus, and they could be willing to pay £50m for the winger.

The Old Lady have become the latest club to register an interest in the player, with all of the Premier League’s current top four, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid already keen.

Juventus are expecting to lose their own star Paul Pogba in the summer – who may well be heading for a swap with Sterling, and back to the Premier League – but will not let their talisman go for less than £75m.

Despite Rush – who played in Turin for one year – allegedly claiming that football in Italy was “like living in different country,” Juventus believe that the youngster could adapt rather well to the style and pace of the game.

Bringing Sterling to Juventus Stadium would be a remarkable statement of intent.
