The 21-year-old Baggies star racked up 20 goals in all competitions last term, a healthy tally given West Brom’s position in the Premier League table, but could be tempted by a high-profile summer transfer.

Mauricio Pochettino was woefully reliant on Harry Kane to provide a finishing touch in the final third, with Emmanuel Adebayor, Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela failing to net regularly.

A move for Berahino would certainly help boot the Spurs front-line and Pochettino is open to allowing wingers Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon move to West Brom as part of a swap deal, claim The Mirror.

The Mirror claim Berahino is worth around £20m.

23-year-old winger Townsend started just ten Premier League fixtures last season but has certainly proven himself when on international duty -the Tottenham man now being a regular in Roy Hodgson’s national team set-up.

Lennon enjoyed a loan spell at Everton last term and may well be looking to secure regular first team action which could be more easily secured at West Brom.

Pochettino will hope that a player exchange offer will prove more amenable to Tony Pulis than a straight cash offer, with The Mirror claiming Newcastle United are ready to make just such an offer.
